Deepa comes to 5P with 19 years of experience working in the IT industry. She is a certified ITIL, CSM, and PMP professional! Deepa started her IT career as a manual Software test engineer and then joined Infosys Technology Limited as an automation Technical test lead while also working for British Petroleum for 3 years. In 2011, Deepa moved to Canada and worked at Manulife as QA lead for 2 years and managed multiple projects in Manulife Affinity markets travel insurance where she worked with various financial vendors, Senior management, onsite and offshore teams. She then joined Shoppers Drug Mart as a QA lead and worked on a Point of Sale(POS) pin pad replacement project. From there, Deepa joined Brookfield PMO as a QA lead and worked on various projects like Energy Trading and Risk Management system(ETRM), Health safety security environment(HSSE), Risk Management System(RMS), IFS, Outage Management System(OMS), Azure migration, Data wall, IT2 for almost 8 years. Here, she was responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes and practices across all projects within the organization and balancing quality objectives with project constraints and requirements. Deepa also guided PMO teams in implementing rigorous testing procedures and quality standards while collaborating with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on quality goals and deliverables. After Brookfield, she worked as a Senior QA consultant at Shared Services Canada and worked on the Enterprise ITSM project.

On a personal note, Deepa and her husband Anil have been married for almost 14 years and have a 10-year-old boy, Vihaan. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her son, building Legos, doing puzzles, being outdoors, and playing video games with him. During the summertime, Deepa and her family enjoy paddleboarding, going to concerts, and camping. In her spare time, Deepa also enjoys painting!
